UTEL’s Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) based validation system can be installed into existing fibre networks to identify network assets, validate connectivity and confirm network reach. The system can generate detailed documentation that confirms your fibre optic network assets are installed, connected and configured in line with your design and specification. The system is physically connected to the network so can automatically identify changes and update records as new fibre is laid, customers connected and maintenance work completed.
Once installed continuous network validation also helps to ensure the reliability and performance of your fibre backhaul, point to point and Passive Optical Networks (PONs) by minimising disruption, improving customer experience and ultimately the shareholders’ return on investment.
