Network Build

UTEL’s centralised fibre optic network testing system is designed to ensure that your fibre optic network is built right first time – on time and on budget. Our Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) testing capabilities enable you and your build partners to monitor fibre deployment on a daily basis and to bring your fibre network into service as quickly as possible.

Our fibre monitoring software is cloud-based, which means that you and your build teams can run unlimited tests via a smartphone from the office or the field. Centralised fibre testing allows you to improve efficiency and reduce PON network (Passive Optical Network) build costs, by quickly identifying and resolving problems.

As well as on demand smartphone access, we incorporate a comprehensive expert user interface for you and provide daily progress reports on your fibre network build. The report details, for example, new fibre laid, distribution points going live and customer installations. Our system can be used to monitor build progress for backhaul fibre, point to point and PON networks.

The rich functionality of the standard APIs allows you to easily integrate UTEL’s fibre testing system with existing planning, GIS, work management and inventory systems.
