Overview

UTEL can provide individual optical switches with 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128 ports.

Expansion is possible using two or three stages of switches. Switches are controlled by the OTDR or ROSC products detailed on other pages.

UTEL switches use a patented module to provide test access to Live fibres. Modules are available with WDM's or splitters as required. These can be "mix and matched" allowing different types of networks to accessed from one switch. Dark fibres can be tested directly from the switch output port, the OTDR supports PON and Long line testing.
